A cold front came through last night; perfect weather to make Chili. So I whipped up a huge pot, called my mom and asked if she wanted to come over for dinner. She told me she was getting my brother's son, Flynn for the day so she would be over after she picked him up from his mom's.
So since I was going to have a 6 year old in the house I had to make a batch of cupcakes. (I was good on my diet and ate only 1 mini one)
This cutie patootie brown eyed boy ate 10 mini cupcakes in two hours! He still sat down and ate a bowl of chili. He had like 4 more after dinner.
I think he enjoyed these Lemon-Up Cupcakes! I made mom take most of them home with her since Flynn was spending the night he could finish eating them in the morning.
Mom brought her gun & John and her did some target shooting in the back yard. She hit the bulls eye 8 out of 9 times!!! GO MOM! *that coat look familiar? Yeah, it's Tori's...I wore it last week on the boat* While John was cleaning the gun mom was telling the story of how her lucky number is 13. She bought her car on her mom's birthday June 13th as a birthday present for herself (my moms birthday is on the 13th as well). Then she bought this gun on November 13th. This is were it got kinda weird....John pulled out a package from the gun case....it was packed on May 13th....and was inspected by Inspector #13!!! These weird coincidences freak me out sometimes.
A quick THANK YOU to all my bloggy friends who left such sweet comments on my "Funk" post. They all lifted my spirits and made me more motivated. I have been very faithful to my food journal and have watched my portions. I've worked out and walked 2 miles everyday (except today no walking because the wind was insane)

Those cupcakes look yummy!!!
Adorable brown eyed boy you have there... and the cupcakes look delicious. :)
You must have great will power. I have no self control when it comes to baked goods. If I baked a batch of cupcakes...you better believe that I am eating some.
Good for you!!!!
Wow! I'm impressed by your self control, 'cause those look yummy! Did you save me one? ;-)
And that BOY is ADORABLE! Oh my goodness, just look at those big brown eyes! What a cutie!
Way to go with your walking! I should do a whole lot more of that. You are awesome!!!!
What did the shlalala stuff mean?
We had Santa Anas today. I LOVE wind. But it was still hot and I wish it would get cold and stay cold.
sweet boy and good looking cupcakes... it is very chilly here in Arkansas.... very windy where I am at... have a great weekend and props for keeping up with your food journal!!
Good for you. Keep up the good work. I did my walk today, even though I have a cramp in my foot and now I have a cramp in my leg, but I still did it.
Your mom is cracking me up with that pink gun. That is awesome she is so good with it.
Hope that cute boy doesn't get sick from all those yummy cupcakes.
Cupcakes are my kryptonite! I could have matched that cutie cupcake for cupcake. Honest! LOL
Look at you and your willpower. You go girl!
those look so yummy and your mom looks like a professional with that gun!!! Congrats about being good with the cupcakes!
I wish I could be you. There is not way, I could make cupcakes and just eat one. I am very compulsive when it comes to sweets. Infact, I'm DYING here wanting a lemon cupcake. I am not into cake much, but lemon cake is another story.
your mom keeps cracking me up
Those cupcakes look good. That little boy is adorable! And packs a mean appetite!
Your mom's lucky number 13 stories are wild. And look at her shooting away. Impressive accuracy!
You really did do good, if you only had one of those cupcakes! They look really yummy!
I guess you have no one living in the back of your house, if you can shoot guns there...:) Must be nice. Good for your mom, for doing so good on target practice!
I have no neighbors behind me. Just lots of land!
The weirdest thing is that when I went to hit comment, the number of commenters before me is 13!!! yikes! There must be something abt 13. Crazy! But hey you're mom is so awesome being a sharp shooter! huh!

Aw great, now I'm in the mood for cupcakes.
And after he ate those ten cupcakes, did you have to pry him off the walls? " )
I just started Weight Watchers on Monday and I don't think my willpower could handle those little lucious lemony delights!!
A great big hooray to you!
