Megan

Tonight my daughter Meg was inducted into UCA's Gamma Chapter of the Alpha Chi National Collegiate Honor Society. Alpha Chi is one of only three national, general scholastic honor societies. This is a very high academic honor! Only the top 10% of the junior & senior classes are eligible to join.

She is already a member of the National Collegiate Honor Society. Having an honor society listed on your resume provides a tangible sign of your academic success.

Meg will be graduating Spring 2010 with a double major in Spanish and Creative Writing and a minor in Linguistics. Her last semester(January - June 2010) she will be going to Leon, Spain to study Spanish. In December of 2010 she is going to teach English in Chile for a year.

John & I are so very proud of her and all her accomplishments! Tonight was a night we'll never forget. It was full of happiness and joy and pride!

We love you, Meg!

This is so wonderful! She is beautiful! I still don't think you look old enough to be her Mom : ). I love that she is going to teach Spanish in Chile! It will surely change her life!

What an amazing accomplishment! I'm sure you are filled to overflowing with pride.

But Chile, for a whole year? Oh, my heart aches thinking about you not seeing her. I know, I know, it's a great experience and all that, but, jeez...

My kids are not allowed to travel over 10 miles away from me, ever.

Okay, I'm kidding. Kind of. Obviously, I've got separation issues. Good thing I've got time before that happens. I'll watch you and see how you cope, 'kay?
