Quilts for sale

I put 2 WIP's (works in progress) on Facebook this evening. Both were For Sale. I sold them within 2 hours. HAPPY, HAPPY ME!!!!

Color Me Badd sold first....within an hour...:) I got the idea for this one in a dream. I woke up at 3 am and sketched it out...even wrote the name down. Color Me Badd was one of my favorite groups in the early 90's. My girls and I would dance around the living room singing "I wanna Sex you up"...yep, they were only 4 & 2 years old at the time...hey, don't judge me...they turned out just fine! They are both strong, independent, intelligent women!

The 2nd quilt....my monochromatic improv quilt...
I named it "purple haze" actually it didn't "sell". My niece, Morgan, who is 14, is in the hospital for the second time in 3 weeks, liked it. Morgan had an appendectomy on the 22nd of January. She is back in the hospital today with an awfully large abscess...she had to be sedated and had it drained...she has a drainage tube right above her tail bone...she has to lay on her tummy and she is in major pain. She told her momma how much she liked it... my sister said she is on 3 pain killers, but is brutally honest...she even told her daddy he needed a haircut. HAHA I actually thought of Morgan the entire time I was making this quilt, so it is only fitting that she be the owner.

When she was in the hospital last time she had the quilt I made the family with her the entire time....her sweat, blood, tears & spit went into that quilt. Knowing how much it was loved and how it brought her SO MUCH comfort....makes me happy to give her purple haze.

I'm so stoked! I finally sold a quilt!! Woo-Hoo!!!

As for your niece, she sounds like a trooper. What a great auntie you are, and to think that quilt will be cherished by her her entire life!

You are so talented, Betty.

Have you thought of opening up an Etsy "booth"? You could take orders, esp in the summer when you're out of school.

I'm sure that gift quilt will be much loved...love the name!
