Wicked

John and I went and saw the Broadway Musical, "Wicked", on Sunday. It was wonderfully Wicked!!! If you get the chance to go, GO! It is well worth the price of the tickets. John got the best seats...we were dead center, 7th row!

This is the map of OZ. The dragon moved and it's eyes were red in the opening act.

Glinda & Elphaba

The costumes were amazing! The actors were awesome! Everything about the musical was, well, Wicked!!!

Taken photos was strictly forbidden....um, yeah, tell that to a blogger! I pulled out my iphone and took 3 pictures. I really wanted to take more but I got nervous. They aren't the best...but the memories I have when I look at them are great!

It was such a wonderful evening!

Double Movie Dinner Date

It was that time again, time for our all day date that we like to call,
"Double Movie Dinner Date".

We went and saw, "Remember Me" first. Rob Pattinson, in our opinion, was wonderful in this movie. I know it got some bad reviews, but we really liked it. I never listen to the critics anyway, I usually like what they hate. John & I both were moved to tears.

After this movie, we went shopping at Whole Foods, then ate at our favorite Cajun restaurant, Copelands. It was de-lish as usual.

The second movie was "Shutter Island". This movie was twisted, freaky, & a bit too long for me. It was well-written, but still left me wondering about some things.

Our date was coming to an end....but we decided to make one more stop before we went home. We went back to Copelands and ordered a Bananas Foster Napoleon Cheesecake to go. We pigged out on it when we got home. Yummilicious!!

Double Movie Dinner Date

Thursday was our date that we do every 3 months. We like to call it our
"Double Movie Dinner Date".

We always take our picture in the photo booth to document the date! I cut the last picture out because it was....for our eyes only!

The 1st movie we went to see was "Public Enemies" starring, Johnny Depp. It was SO good!! A true story about John Dillinger the notorious bank robber during the great depression. Johnny was eye candy galore as usual.
I give it 5 stars!!

We went over to Copeland's and had an early dinner. (The good thing about this date is not only are we buying matinee tickets....we are eating a big meal at lunch prices!) At Copeland's the lunch portion is just as big as the dinner one. We shared some red beans & rice with andouille sausage, a small salad, and we each got a plate of Eggplant Parmesan with 1 small chicken breast. When the meal came we said, We should have only bought one and shared it. We say that every time!

2nd movie we went to see was "My Sister's Keeper". I read the book and loved it! The movie of course was the same but different(does that even make sense?). They didn't use 1 character and changed some traits of others. But all in all....a huge TEAR JERKER!!! I cried like a fool and my husband is not ashamed to admit that he did as well!
I give it 5 stars!!

Both movies are a MUST SEE!!!

We went to Academy Sports afterward so I could get a new pair of sneakers. John picked out 4 cute workout outfits for me as a reward for doing so good in the gym! How sweet was he!?!!

It was an awesome date!
