Blocks

Quilt #1

The two piles below are my completed squares thus far. The messy pile is finished strip pieces that I have to press and then cut.

Here is a strip piece that has been pressed.

And this is where you'll find Mr. Reeses when I am busy sewing.

If I stitch fast enough does it
count as aerobic exercise?

I vote that it counts.

Mr. Reeses is so cute. He's just trying to help.

Love all those colors together.
Can't wait to see it all put together.

Great job!

Those colors are the bomb! I am in awe of your sewing skill, especially with a dog on your lap :) You look so peaceful. I, on the other hand, would look like a raving lunatic with my hair on end and frustration all over my face; I do not get along with sewing machines!

I love those fabrics you picked out -- the girls are going to love them! SwimBoy has his own apartment now so I have lots of ideas for Christmas for him but I really need to get rolling on them. I have some winter skirts for myself to finish up and then it's time to start Christmas.

Reeses is so cute!! My Peanut does a similar thing when I am sewing and when I am using the computer. He also likes to lay on the table I keep my serger on - looks uncomfortable to me but he likes it.

On your final question -- OF COURSE!!

Hugs,

Rene

Hi! I found your blog through Heather @ This is the day. I will definitely be returning!! Your daughters are beautiful!

For several months quilting has been in the back of my mind as something I want to try my hand at. I have no clue where to start, but my aunt is willing to show me. I'm hoping to start the new year off with a new adventure in quilting. The colors you've chosen are beautiful!!!
