I name my quilts....so what you see in BOLD is the name. I have yet to name the first quilt.

Tori took this picture this morning (excuse the jammies) of me cutting material. The quilt top in the foreground is for Megs best friend, Jessica.

King Quilt
Curly Girls
Do you remember the quilts I made for my girls last Christmas? I had enough scraps leftover to make a pretty decent size quilt. So I started sewing that top.

Little Princess
This is the material I started cutting today. It's for baby Scarlett.(my nephew David's baby girl) She is going to be arriving in this word in about 8 weeks, I need to get busy 'cause it's going to be here before we know it.

Daddy's Hands
This has been the hardest quilt to make! I've been working on it off & on for 5 months now. Some days I go in my sewing room with the intent to work on it, but I start crying and hold the material and end up walking away. The material is my Dad's old clothes. The block with the pockets are my favorite....he always wore a shirt with a pocket so he could keep his cigarettes in them. I hope to have this done by Christmas for my mom....hopefully sooner!

King Quilt
Here is the 2nd quilt that has been sandwiched and basted, it's all ready to be quilted. Jessica chose the material, they are decorating the baby's room in Earth tones with animals. She is an artist, an awesome one! She painted a mural on the nursery wall. I have stressed over this particular quilt....I think because I know she is an artist & I want to give her a beautiful piece of art in the form of a quilt...that her baby boy will have for many years. I pray she likes it.

You are such a sweet crafter! I love to see all your work. I can see why the last one is the hardest!
That is a lot to be working on at once!
They all look great though. I would have a hard time with the last one as well. It must be very emotional.
poppy's quilt is wonderful. mrs. betty, i can see why it would be so hard to make. it is so wonderful to know, though, that you're making a quilt from his things instead of sitting in a box never to be used or loved. love you, miss you!
Those are wonderful! They each have a unique personality all of their own, don't they?! I love Daddy's Hands.
Good luck with all of them!♥
Betty, they are all gorgeous! I'll bet you are loving summer vacation!
I can totally relate with your quilt made of your dad's clothes. When I finally scrapbooked the last photos I had of my dad, I cried and cried, and even cut my thumb as I was cutting paper...it was therapeutic and I'm glad I finally made it, but it was so hard to do. Your mom will love it!
These are all amazing!!
