Only little once

They are only little once!

This was taken in February 1990. Meg just turned 2 and Tori was 4 months old.

Tori was being a wiggle worm wanting out of my arms. The guy taken the photo was playing peek-a-boo with puppets and she loved it.

Meg didn't like it as much. She was pinching my back...you know the ones with those tiny little fingers that hurt....saying "done now momma".

Sometimes I wish I could go back to those days and just love on them more....cherish every moment more....yes, even the bad ones....cause they grow up so fast!!

Now, I walk around my house dusting...picking up old photos, wiping them down, cry a spell, and try to remember what was going on when the picture was taken.

Cherish your babies......
they are only little once!

Oh I do. I saw how fast it went with my first. So, my second is going to get so sick of me:-) Hee, hee, hee.

What an idealic photo! That's every mother's dream. Everything white and pristine and beautiful. Gorgeous:-)

Beautiful photo of the 3 of your girls! I know exactly how you feel. Brittany is now a senior and, though I'm very excited about what's ahead, my heart still breaks for what's behind.

What a wonderful photo. I cry often lately when I remember what was. I only have a few more years with anyone at home. Not sure what I'm going to do with myself.

Okay, I dont have kids yet but I did mother all my 3 younger brothers.
Now that I am married and they're all growing up, introducing me to their perspective girlfriends and/or the girls their dating makes me feel so old but they'll always be my babies.

Stopping by from SITS to show some love...

BTW, I love your header's photo!

Aww- and y'all just keep getting cuter and cuter. Isn't it cool how now you can put it all on a blog though so you can relive it all instead of going through boxes of pictures trying to remember exactly what happened when?

I am so with you on this.

Just this evening, I was behind Gabe as we ran up the hill to grandma's house. He had his little Elmo backpack filled with his blankie, his pj's and his clothes. A thought popped into my head: I'm gonna blink my eyes, and he'll be seventeen, driving away from me, no blankie in his backpack, no spending the night with his grandma. I almost cried right there in the street.

How did we get to be such saps?

So sad but true.

My daughter asked me today when we would take the Toddler's blankie away. I said "ummm, NEVER!". LOL He's the last and I'm cherishing EVERY moment!

Wow, you look SO young! What a gorgeous picture. I totally know what you mean, I was just saying I want to turn back time and make my youngest a baby again.

I just ran across your blog. This post made me cry. I was just being sentimental about my 14 month old today. You are SO right, they are only little once. Sometimes we have to be reminded to cherish each day! I see that your girls are grown now. They are beautiful!
