So long sweet summer

I am so ready for summer to be over with; and autumn to make her appearance.
I'm ready to wear long sleeve shirts, skirts with crazy pantyhose & pretty little
cardigans. I can't wait to see the leaves change, orange & yellow; how they fall
from the tree so gracefully. I love my strolls around the block in & crisp...
you ever notice how everything smells so different in the fall? I love the pumpkins and the decorations on everyones porches. Oh, I can't wait to do mine. I love leaving the windows
open and having the home smell so fresh. I can't wait to make stew and chili and potato soup!!
I'm so ready for Autumn! With that said, I'll end with the lyrics from one of my favorite songs.
By: Dashboard Confessionals

So long sweet summer
I stumbled upon you and gratefully basked in your rays
So long sweet summer
I fell into you
Now you're gracefully falling away

Hey thanks
Thanks for that summer
It's cold where you're going
I hope that your heart's always warm
I gave you the best
Gave you the best that I have

So, so long sweet summer
I stumbled upon you and gratefully basked in your rays
So long sweet summer
I fell into you
Now you're gracefully falling away

Oh, I love this post. Autumn is my absolute favorite time of year, and always has been. I have so many great memories of fall as a kid, and I love to help make new memories with my kids so they will love it, too.

You've inspired me to do a fall post...hmmm, gotta go and think of some ideas.

What I hate about Missouri is that we go from HOT to COLD with no inbetween :(

i understand but it has happened so suddenly that i think we just might have gone to winter. it went from 93 to mid 50's for the high all in one week. we are actually cold and wearing heavt=y jackets. sorry for the bad typing , i am feeding my infant and typing with one hand... ha ha

it was really good, but it came out a little too oily for some reason!
still delicious though!
i made a homemade sweet & sour sauce 'cause i didn't wanna go buy any. it was just ketchup, brown sugar, & vinegar...weird, huh?!
love you!

Autumn is my most favoritest season. I have been getting such a kick out of my toddler. He is so excited about all the falling leaves. To be young again...

And did you say Chili? Potato Soup? Do tell more!

There is something about turning off the A/C and opening all the windows, with that fall breeze coming in, that is one of the best parts.
And yes...tell us about your potatoe soup!

I'm jealous. Where we live it's like summer year round, except for like three days in December or January where it gets down to 50 degrees. I'd love to see the leaves change some time.
