Shooting at UCA

Last night as I got ready to get in my bed a "Breaking News" alert came on the TV, and i didn't really pay attention to it. A few minutes later i got a phone call from my daughter, Meg, saying that she was in the library on the UCA campus studying and there had just been a shooting outside one of the UCA dorms. The school was on lock down for awhile, so Meg & Brianna, who was studying with her, had a friend come pick them up so they didn't have to walk to their cars. I called Tori right after I got off the phone with Meg to make sure she was alright. She was at home writing a paper, so I was content knowing she was safe. I was up until 1 A.M. worried about my daughters and the situation because there was still three men at large. They had done a sort of drive-by shooting in a white vehicle. They now have two of the men in custody.
Here's an article from a local news station.
It's a sad thing that two young men had to die because of this. I am thankful to God that my daughters are okay. Keep the families and friends in your prayers, as well as all the students & faculty at UCA.

I heard about the shooting on the news this morning and I, immediately, thought of you. Really, I did! I'm so relieved to know that your girls are alright. How scary that must have been! If it can happen in Arkansas, it can happen anywhere!

Oh my goodness. I am so glad your girls are okay. As if you don't worry enough on a normal day, much less when something like this happens.

One of the prayers I pray alot is that God put a hedge of protection around each of my kids when I am away from them. It helps me not worry too much, knowing they are in His very capable hands.

I'll be praying for all of you.

(ps, I mailed your package today)

Oh my!! I am soooo glad that your girls are safe!! I had no idea they were that close to the shooting. If that happened to my daughter, I would still be beside myself.

*hugs* I am so glad your girls are okay. They have the third man in custody and one more to go, and they know his identity.
My extended family are blessedly all okay as well, naturally our thoughts and prayers are with those not so fortunate.
Again, I am very glad you are all okay.

What is wrong with some of the people in this world?

Why can't they all be like you and your family?

I'm glad your babies are ok.

Praise God your girls are okay. I heard about it but didn't connect that your girls went there. I have been praying for the families. It is so sad!!!

And to answer your question, it depends on mail here. But if it was sent airmail it should arrive within 2 weeks, so I have anxiously been awaiting it's arrival every day. I will let you know when it arrives, do you know the day it was sent? Thanks again, I am so excited!
