Herbie's Angel

So with the recent murder of TV Anchor Anne Pressly the women here in Arkansas are a little freaked out; especially since they have no leads on the person who committed this horrific murder. Every place that we went said women are buying guns like crazy. My mom being one of them.
Here she is Herbie's Angel.....my Dad's name was Herbert and Mom called him Herbie.
Don't mess with this woman!!!

We were laughing so hard taking these pictures. I couldn't believe I got her to let me take them.

She is serious about protecting herself! Let me tell you what...she can shoot this gun like it's nobody's business!!! She has perfect aim!!!

She bought a Walther p22 it's pink & black....it's a pretty gun. Can I call a gun pretty?

We had a good day today. We went clothes shopping, gun shopping, had lunch at Cracker Barrel & shopped at Sams Wholesale where I bought more crap that I really didn't need.
It was a FUN mother/daughter day!!!! It looks like Mom is pointing that gun at me....

1 week until TWILIGHT hits the theaters! Mom & I already purchased our tickets. We are taking off work that day and making it a Twilight Day! We are so excited!!!!!!!!

Twilight... yay!
I'm going with my friends. Midnight release on Thursday night! (A few hours after the second night of my play, and I'll have to do the play again the next day... this is gonna be fun, but it's so worth it.)

I've never seen a pink and black gun! How funny. She looks very Gangsta!

But tell her not to point that gun at you!

I can't believe your taking the day off for that movie.

Wow...your mom's packing a pistol??? I'd have to say that's the coolest looking gun I've ever seen! I read about the tragedy of that beautiful young anchorwoman in Little Rock who was murdered. So sad and scary! I don't think it's a bad idea to be prepared...just in case!

Looks like you and your mom have such fun together! Wish my mom was still alive...I really miss her!!

Have a great weekend, my friend! Be sure to drop by my blog on Sunday or Monday...I'm having a giveaway for my 100th post!!

When I heard about Anne Presley, I was so sad. She had such a bright future. I can see why you guys are nervous. Guns make me even more nervous but that's because I don't know how to shoot one. I have to say, that is the cutest gun I have ever seen. I hope it makes her feel safer.

I am just trying to picture MY mom with a gun.

And I almost peed my pants in fright.

I love that you and your mom are seeing Twilight together! We have a huge group of girls (and maybe one guy) going...I cannot wait! Are you gonna wear your t-shirt from Becky?

Your mom cracks me up!! She is so cute and her gun is perfect.

I can't wait for Twilight either! I have a big group of girls going to see it on Saturday. I'm going to see Little Women tonight with a bunch of my girlfriends so I might talk some of them into seeing it too. I know that once it comes out on DVD I'll probably watch it like 100 times in the first month -- I'm obsessive like that. As Edward would say, "does that scare you" -- "it should"! Too bad Colorado and Arkansas are so far apart or I'd make you come with us on Saturday and see it again!

Hugs!

OMG I love it! Sorry but your mama the gangsta is just cracking me up something fierce.
Such a horrific crime with poor Anne, though, that I don't blame her for wanting to protect herself.
Didn't even know they made pink and black guns, though.
Both the littlest diva's have plans for the midnight showing since the play is still going on that night.

I didn't realize the handgun was PINK and black! Gorgeous color combination! Love it. Your mom's hilarious.

And to anonymous, thank god we can still buy guns in America.
