Twilight

Mom & I went and saw Twilight. We stood in line and listened to all the women ooooooh & aaaaaah over the books & the actors in the movie. Everyone was decked out in Twilight shirts, including me.....Becky gave me this shirt! When the movie finally came on everyone squealed and got all excited. When Edward came on the screen I thought the 4 young girls behind me were going to faint. When watching a movie after I've read the book.....I have to prepare myself for differences. You know how you envision a certain character and then they look totally different or how sometimes the movie is just totally different than the book altogether. The movie was pretty true to the book...minus a few scenes that should have been put in that weren't....there were a few changes but you have to expect that. I loved it! Did you?

I have not seen it yet! I have heard good and bad reviews! I think the people that didnt like it generally just dont like straying from the book which you have to expect!! But i'll let you know when I go see it!

I always pictured them to look different. Especially Edward--i think that's because I want him to look what I envision to be perfect in beauty, which im sure is far different from others!!

I have not read the books and the movies are a long way away from here. Don´t really understand the hype, but it must be really good, if so many people like it. My daughter posted about seeing the movie in her facebook too.
Glad you had a good time!

Hey betty, we are going to see the movie tonight, (saturday). I'll let you know after we go!
Kristyn looked at your blog and commented on the "blond" pics. She said,"I remember that picture of Mr. John and Mrs. Betty going out, I was with Tori." She has the best memories of being with the Houstons!

I am so excited to go see it! Today is the day...I will probably be dedicating a post to it. :) I am so happy to hear that it stayed true to the book because it gets me down when there are random factors thrown in that I don't understand!

Hi I am so happy to have you take the time to visit me and leave a comment. I will be back to visit if only to float in your heavenly little blogging spot. You are very talented. Dee

Well, as Michelle said, we loved it! Edward was as scrumptious as I thought he would be...there were a few parts that were so-so, and I don't think those who hadn't read the book would truly appreciate the love story between Bella and Edward. I loved the humor, the music, and the casting. The Cullen kitchen scene was cute (cooking Italian for "Bella") and the baseball scene was very cool.

I totally disagree with the critics; I think it was a hit.

And we all wore our "Betty shawls", taking numerous photos in Ruby Tuesday after the movie to post on our blogs...

Glad you liked it, too. What did your mom think? Had she read the books?

I liked it alot! I think the book was much better, but just for the sheer fact that with a book you can soak in all the elements and emotion. I am glad they stayed pretty true to the book. I already want to see it again!

What a fun outing for you guys. I took my daughter to see it Friday night, but I didn't stay to watch. Just the four teenage girls, squealing and giggling probably the whole time.

I loved it!! I think I'm in love with Charlie now -- I wonder if they make Charlie shirts. Although I do want to find a nightshirt that says "what do you mean Edward isn't real?" -- I'm sure my hubby would veto that but he'll get over it!! ;-)
